As a member of the Caravan and Motorhome club (hereafter called CAMC) all members have “signed up” through the CAMC by-laws, to strictly observe the Caravan, Countryside and Coastal codes, and to adhere to the following:
- All members MUST book online, or send in a completed rally booking slip, together with the appropriate non-refundable deposit and full payment must be made, preferably by BACS, by the due date indicated on each rally. All fees quoted are subject to alteration without notice. If after booking you cannot attend, please advise the Rally Marshall asap, bearing in mind there may be costs incurred for any commitments. If for any reason the rally is cancelled or altered the Website will be updated and members who have booked will be notified.
- If a member cancels a booking a refund less any deposit will only be issued if their pitch can be allocated to another member, or under extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the committee.
- All rallies will start and finish on the dates noted at 12 noon unless otherwise stated. Any member wishing to stay longer must consult the rally Marshall
- on site and book through the site
- Please note: CAMC insurance only covers the specified dates of the event, therefore members (excluding marshals) arriving before the start date are required to complete an insurance disclaimer. The Centre flag must be flown during the hours dawn to dusk for the duration of the rally to comply with CAMC insurance cover.
- All members must carry their CAMC Membership cards and photo ID at all rallies, as you may be asked to produce them.
- All vehicles to be restricted to 5MPH (walking pace) on the rally field whilst always exercising the utmost due care and attention. Strictly no driving between vans only along the lines or as directed by the Rally Marshall. The consequences for not adhering to these instructions will render the driver liable and not the Rally Marshals.
- On arrival at site members and visitors MUST report to the rally office and await instructions from the marshals.
- The siting of caravans, towing vehicles and motorhomes will be as directed by the Rally Marshall.
- Tents/Tent boxes are permitted on the Centres Rallies unless otherwise stated, these are to be sited as per the Marshalls instruction, pup tents are also permitted on centre rallies but must be erected within the designated pitch of the unit in addition on some rallies your own sanitation maybe required, but Elsan points will be provided. Any toilet, or part thereof, must not be taken within ten feet of any drinking water Taps.
- For health and safety, we ask that guy ropes be marked with reflective tape/pegs
- It is suggested that all members either have a fire extinguisher/ fire stick on hand or place a fire bucket at the front of your pitch
- The erection of awnings and gazebos is permitted but must be adequately pegged/strapped down and is entirely at the owner’s risk. Any damaged caused by these items is the responsibility of the owners.
- Members MUST NOT light barbecues in awnings/tents or within 2.5 metres of a Caravan, Motorhome or tent/Tent box, this is a fire hazard. Firepits are not permitted on any rally at any time.
- Dogs and other animals must be kept under control, and on a lead not exceeding 3 metres at any time and not allowed to roam around the site and should be exercised away from children’s play areas and units. It is the owner’s responsibility to clean up and mess and dispose of appropriately. Dogs and other animals should not be left in units/cars in hot weather.
- In adverse conditions a yellow flag may be flown which means no traffic to move on site.
- Ball games, cycling, skateboarding, kite/drone flying, walking/running across other members pitches or any such activity that is likely to degrade the comfort and convenience of other members or cause damage to persons and/or property, in or near the lines are not permitted without exception. Play areas will be designated where possible.
- Generators or similar equipment will only be allowed between the hours of 9am and 6pm, and for a maximum of a three-hour period and should not be left unattended whilst in use
- Musical instruments, radios etc must be used with discretion and in such a way as not to inconvenience other members.
- Apart from “special occasions” (Xmas, New Year etc) social functions will terminate at 11pm on the rally field.
- Silent hours (quiet time) are between 11pm and 07.30am. Any member wishing to leave site during this period please speak to the rally Marshalls.
- Parents are responsible for their children at all times and must ensure no damage is caused to site owners’ property or trespass on adjoining owners’ property. Parental control should also be exercised over children at social events
- Unbecoming conduct by members, their children and friends will not be tolerated, and if necessary, after investigation by the Centre Committee may result in the offending person(s) being denied rally facilities
- Under the data protection law any photographs taken for use on social media or in production of an event book must have the members permission prior to use.
- Booking forms both paper and electronic must be shredded/erased from devises once the event has concluded to comply with the data protection law.
- Any injuries sustained during an event MUST be reported to the marshals and an accident form completed.
- Where possible all rubbish should be taken home and disposed of unless bins are provided on site.
- Trading on the rally field is strictly forbidden.
- All persons attending rallies and events organised by CAMC – West Dorset Centre do so entirely at their own risk. NO responsibility for persons or property is accepted by the organisers.
