Chairmans Message

I would like to start by saying thank you, for the privilege you have given me, to serve as your chairman for the West Dorset Centre for the coming year and before I go any further, I would like to say thankyou to Paul Scard who stepped down as Chairman of this great centre.

I wish Paul and Sue every happiness for the future in whatever they do.

It would not be a centre if the members had not come forward to sit on the committee,

I welcome Denise Woolmington who has taken on the role of Secretary taking over from Paula Wills who has stepped down after 11 years in the role, I also welcome Peter Marshall who has agreed to take on the role of looking after all of the equipment and event kits that the centre holds.

To the remaining committee members who have offered to continue for another year, I say thank you.

For 2027 we have 6 new sites booked and further information can be found on the web site from the end of November, please bear with while we upload all of the information, an email will be sent out to every member of West Dorset informing you when this has happened.

One of our aims for 2027 will be communications with you the members of West Dorset,

we have listened and we will improve by sending via email a quarterly news update, for those of you who do not have an email address these can be sent via post.

As always, our event marshals put so much time and effort into running these events for you the members, so if you have not ventured out on any events yet, then come and give it a go.

A warm welcome will be given to everyone.

Hilary and I hope to attend as many of the centre’s events throughout 2027 and we look forward to meeting friends old and new.
