By now you will all be aware that the new West Dorset Website is now up and running, with the inclusion of online booking and payment for events. Tony and Claire are to be congratulated for all their hard work, and for what is a very informative and extremely useful tool for this Centre. It is widely recognised that the website will not be without its teething troubles, but I would ask that you be patient whilst the processes included within the site are given chance to bed in. Please use the feedback form (details later) to let us know of any problems.
We are only a few days into 2020 but the number of bookings for Events are already showing signs of being very encouraging. The Chairman’s Welcome is close to being full, Valentines is full and the 35th Birthday Event has only a few spaces left. Get in quick on these and any other events you're interested in as the signs are showing that bookings are coming in thick and fast... you don't want to miss out!
Sponsorship forms for the Saturday 2-3 mile charity walk on Portland are now available from the Chairman or can be downloaded from the website. For more details contact the Chairman.

The New Year Event, which was held at the Wareham & Swanage Rugby Club was another huge success, photo's are available on the gallery page on the website. We'd like to send out a massive congratulations and thanks to all of the Marshals and assistants and anyone in general who contributed to the running of the event.
For those of you wanting to get in on this years New Year Event go to the online booking page and get your form in ASAP. This is always a popular event and it fills up quickly.
Event Marshals are encouraged to use the Updates & Help page to keep members updated on events you are running. Keep it to one post per event though so that people can follow your thread. It's very easy to do, just go to the page and then start a new thread in the 'Event updates' category. You can then keep everyone up to date on your event.
A few of the Event Marshals have already done this so just have a look and follow suit.
That's it for issue 1, the newsletter will be sent on an as and when basis at the moment until the season gets going then we'll look to publishing an issue at least once a month.
